Atlanta Knights Junior Hockey Club 2011 Tryouts Announced

The Atlanta Junior Knights announce official tryout dates for the upcoming season for both Knights junior teams. The defending USA Hockey National Champion Atlanta Knightser exceptional player development, national exposure and collegiate recruitment directly from your participation with the Knights. With eleven additional current Knights players receiving collegiate offeres for fall 2011, the Knights provide the ultimate environment for academic and athletic player advancement within a professional atmosphere.
The Knights will field two Junior teams for the fall 2011.
Knights Junior Elites - EJHL South participation with an EJHL Showcase centric schedule, this program offers maximum exposure with respect to direct NCAA player recruitment and placement. Our results for player placement direct to collegiate programs is exceptional.
Junior Selects - The Junior B Selects will participate in the Empire Junior Hockey League, with an additional 4 Empire Junior Hockey League showcase events, and a planned ACHA jamboree, giving all player direct access to collegiate recruitment . League games will be played in the Empire Junior B league that encompasses the the entire Atlantic -Southeastern region of the US.
Knights tryouts will be held on three weekends to allow most players to participate in other hockey weekend events, but still attend one or more Knights camps.

Format includes off-ice strength and conditioning evaluations and on-ice competition. Specific NAHL and EJHL team representatives will be present at each event. Tryout fee is $130 for the primary tryout and $50.00 for each additional tryout weekend. There will be a limit on the number of players accepted and limited space for goalies. Applications will be processed and accepted on a priority basis based on date received. A link is posted below, program information, and a player preparation guide for tryouts.
The all inclusive Knights junior program includes all apparel, uniforms, travel expenses, room / board / meal expenses, all pracitice, all games, all showcase tournament expense, SAT tutoring expense, trainer expense, athletic club membership and substantial equipment costs. Estimated all inclusive tuition for 2011 is expected to be approximately $7,500.
Since 2009, the Knights will have directly placed more than 25 players in NCAA collegiate teams and ACHA Division I program by fall 2011, and our players will have received more than $120,000 in scholarship awards for fall 2011.
Tryouts are open to all advanced players with birth years of 1995 and older.
